In the desktop app, your cases, files and conversations are stored encrypted on your own computer, with the key held by your computer's secure keychain. They are not stored on Confidelio's servers.

Your name never reaches the AI
Before anything is sent to the AI, your name, the names of the other people and companies in your case, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, identification numbers and card and account numbers are replaced with neutral labels. The real details are put back before you see the answer. Photos and scanned pages are read as images, so the words inside them are not relabelled.

You do not have to list anyone. The names in what you write and in your documents and email are found and hidden automatically.

When Confidelio researches the law, only legal-issue search terms and citation strings go to the public sources. Your story, your documents and your name are never sent to them.
